Therapeutic Effect of Acupuncture with Warmed Needle Plus Massage on Ossa Articularia Osteoarthritis:A clinical report of 60 Cases

Abstract
Objective: This study was instituted to investigate therapeutic effects of acupuncture with warmed needle plus massage and common acupuncture plus massage in treating Ossa Articularia Osteoarthritis in contrast.Methods:120 patients consistent with diagnostic code of Ossa Articularia Osteoarthritis were randomly allocated to the therapeutic group(treated with acupuncture with warmed needle plus massage) and the control group(treated with common acupuncture plus massage).Treatment was given every other day,12 times as a course.The therapeutic effects were evaluated after two courses of treatment.Results: The total efficacy rate was 96.0% in the therapeutic group and 74.0% in the control group.An X2 test showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the total efficacy rate between the two groups(P0.01).Conclusion:Acupuncture with warmed needle plus massage is an effective treatment in treating Ossa Articularia Osteoarthritis.
