Abstract
It’s difficult to control the temperature for the continuous casting billet with regular voltage control curve in induction heating process of hot rolling production line. For this problem, firstly analyzed the billet electromagnetic induction heating mechanism, determined the factors caused the billet temperature rising, and applied artificial neural network to build the temperature prediction model. Then, the paper evaluated the heating effect for various working conditions by this predictive model simulation. Finally, the voltage control curve was verified and adjusted to achieve the precision of temperature control in the actual production.
