Abstract
This paper introduced the work principle of the shunt active power filter,the control method of unit power factor was used for active power filter,which was built into modeling and simulated by Simulink in Matlab.The simulation results show that harmonics and reactive current generated by nonlinear loads could be compensated well by shunt active power filter.
