Clinical Analysis of 463 Cases of the Treatments of Severe Traumatic Brain Injury in Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit

Abstract
Objective:To summarize the treatment experience of 463 severe traumatic brain Injury patients in neurosurgical intensive care unit to investigate the effect and outcome.Methods: The clinical data of 463 patients with severe traumatic brain Injury in neurosurgical intensive care unit were analyzed retrospectively.Results:Among the 463 cases(GCS8),237 cases(51.2%) had good outcome,51 cases(11.0%)had moderate disability,19 cases(4.1%) had severe disbility,9 cases(1.9%) survived in a vegetable state,and 147 cases(31.7%) died.Conclusion :Specialist treatments and early monitoring and nursing to patients in NICU are very important to rescue the patients with severe traumatic brain Injury(GCS3-8) and can obviously improve the prognosis.
