Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of dexamethasone on the patients with severe type of chronic viral hepatitis B.Methods 120 patients were divided into observation group and control group, control group to protect liver,anti-inflammatory,yellow suit the back support, etc.Comprehensive treatment;Based on the observation group in the control group with dexamethasone 10mg shock therapy 3 days, treatment for 3 weeks.Results(1) The percentage progress to severe hepatitis: the control group 2 patients progress to severe hepatitis,3.33%;Observation group no patients progress to severe hepatitis, progress rate is similar between the two groups was statistically significant(P 0.05);(2)ALT content comparison: ALT to compare two groups of patients before treatment there was no significant difference, observation group after treatment for 3 days,1 week,2 weeks and 3 weeks of ALT were significantly lower than the control group(P 0.05);(3) the digestive tract symptoms improved cases comparison: observation group of patients in the treatment of 3 days,1 week,2 weeks and 3 weeks of the digestive tract symptoms improved cases were significantly more than control group(P 0.05);(4) adverse reactions: the control group did not see obvious adverse reaction, observation group have stomachache in 1 case, two groups had no statistical difference(P0.05);(5) such confinement: the observation group was(12.7±5.5) days of such confinement, the control group was(17.1 ±7.8) days, such confinement similar between the two groups have statistical significance(P 0.05).Conclusion Patients with chronic hepatitis B of severe impact short-term application of dexamethasone treatment, can quickly improve symptoms, reduce the occurrence of severe hepatitis and less side effects, and help to shorten the length of time.
