Abstract

Objective: To explore the value of CT guided O3 injection in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods: 75 patients with lumbar spinal disc herniation and 45 patients with spinal disc expansion were treated by ozone injection with the guide of CT.When the herniation is at the side of spinal disc center,the needle was punctured between nerve root and dural sac or between nerve root and little joint.When the patient was due back herniation or expansi-on of lumbar spinal disc,the needle was punctured from the 6~10cm sideway middle line of back.All the patients were injected with 5~15ml ozone(40~60μg/ml) into the disc or the herniation center.The total ozone is less than 30ml.Results: After injection of ozone the ozone was distributed as localized shape,cranny shape and dispersion shape.6~12 months after treatment,the excellent,good and poor clinical efficacy was75cases(62.5%),37 cases(30.8%),and 8 cases(6.7%) Respectively,with a total of 93%.Conclusion: With CT guided,the puncturing and ozone injection are acurate.After the treatment we can observe the transformation of pathologic changes.With safety,little wound and good curative effect,it is the ideal treatment of lumbar spinal disc herniation.
