Abstract
The campus positioning and monitoring system was designed based on GPS/GPRS. The GPS communications system can receive positioning information from the GPS positioning satellites through the GPS receiver module. After further storage and parse processing, the positioning information will be displayed on PC and LCD in real time. Then an electronic map shall be created through the OZI software, and with the map an automatic navigation might be achieved. The GPRS module is extended to transmit the positioning information to the control terminal and achieve the functions of monitoring, dispatching, and giving alarm.
