Abstract
A remote monitoring system applied in the electrical systems is designed in this paper,based on the General Packet Radio Service(GPRS) and Global Positioning System(GPS) techniques.The system uses the GPS module to achieve the positioning of an equipment,and then the positioning information will be uploaded to a specific monitoring platform through the GPRS network.As a result,the safety of an industrial equipment is guaranteed.
