Abstract

With development of society,thematic map as a main subject part of mapping products enjoys close association with real life.Discussing making method of thematic map by using MapInfo and ArcGIS,the author gives her own opinion by comparing these two soft wares with working practice,such as work interface、organization of data、map compilation and some other specific application aspects.
