Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of yanghe decoction on the level of MMP-3 in in serum and synovial fluid of patients with osteoarthritis.Methods:60 patients with knee osteoarthritis were treated with yanghe decoction for 8 continuous weeks.Before and after treatment fastinn blood and svnovial fluid samples to detect the level of MMP-3.Result:The level of MMP-3 after treatment in serum and synovial fluid significantly lower than those before treatment.Conclusion:Yanghe decoction may be beneficial in thetreatment of osteoarthritis by adjusting the level of MMP-3.
