In the 20~(th) century, Poetry is viewed as the of the Chinese literary criticism. However, this seemingly simple origin includes a history of development. This paper discusses the developmental history and the basic content of the origin of the Chinese literary criticism. Taking a step further, this paper discusses the developmental process of literary criticism of the Zhou Dynasty through Poetry.
