Discussion on the Development Models of Monorail System in China

Abstract

Monorail system is a new model in the urban rail transit system in China. In this paper, the characteristics of monorail system are analyzed. Monorail system and light rail transit are both rail transit system to meet the needs of middle passenger capacity. Their characteristics are comprehensively compared. In according with the construction of monorail in Chongqing, the development models of monorail system is discussed.
