Abstract
Urban rail transit has various forms.Monorail transit,with its medium freight volume,has evident advantage in plan and route-selection applicability as it features in small turning radius,small floor space and less removal area.This paper aims to analyze the adaptability of monorail transit in China by researches on the development of monorail transit,system characteristics of hanging monorail and straddled monorail,and vehicle parameters as well as on overall application worldwide.
