Abstract

ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical efficacy of percutaneous nephrolithotomy with ultrasonic and pneumatic lithotripter (EMSⅢ) for the renal calculi.MethodThe clinical data of 30 patients with renal calculi received percutaneous nephrolithotomy preformed by EMSⅢ were analyzed retrospectively.ResultsThe total stone clearance rate was 70% and all the stones were fragmented. The average time for whole surgery was 120 min.No serious complications were noted in the patients.ConclusionPercutaneous nephrolithotomy with ultrasonic and pneumatic lithotripter (EMSⅢ) for renal calculi has the advantages of less operative duration, rapid recovery, safety and effectiveness.
