Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the levels of serum interleukin-15(IL-15)and interleukin-4(IL-4) in an asthma mouse model, and analysis the associativity between them.[Methods] Mice were randomly divided into three groups:Asthma group(group A),dexamethasone group(group B),and normal control group(group C).Mice in group A and B were sensitized by intraperitoneal injections of OVA and Al(OH)3 on days 0 and 14.On days 18,19,and 20,animals were challenged with 10g/L OVA aerosol for 20 min.Mice in group B were intraperitoneal injections of dexamethasone before challenged with OVA.Mice in group C were sensitized and challenged with saline instead. To determine the serum interleukin-15 and interleukin-4 levels at 24 h after challenge with the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay;and count the eosinophil cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid.[Restlts] The results show that the levels of IL-15,IL-4 and eosinophil cells in Group A(18.733.07) pg/mL,(18.102.66) pg/mL and(9.571.63)×10~5/L are significantly higher than those in Group C(P0.01)(9.261.87) pg/mL,(10.822.13) pg/mL and(3.221.78)×10~5/L and Group B(14.041.58) pg/mL,(14.372.46)pg/mL and(7.472.11)×105/L.The correlation between the level of IL-15 and the IL-4 level was positive(r=0.57,P0.05).[Conclusion]IL-15 might play a role in the pathogenesis of asthma based on that IL-4 has the inhibition of asthma.
