Study on Sinicization of Western Literary Theories

The sinicization of Western literary theories is an important manifestation of the literary theory’s foreignization.In the critical time when Chinese culture has been severely westernized or even deprived of discourse power,it is an important mission for Chinese modern culture and literary theories to make use of the foreignization principle in order to achieve the sinicization of Western literary theories.According to the precious experiences of forerunners like Wang Guowei and Qian Zhongshu in compromising Western literary theories with Chinese academic principles and arousing neo-characters of literary theories,the basic routes of the sinicization of Western literary theories could be concluded as follows: clearly recognizing the heterogeneity of literary theories between the West and China;combining the Western literary theories with modern Chinese literary practices in accordance with the reality;filtering and creative misreading culture;absorbing Western literary theories creatively on the basis of principles of Chinese literature.
