Chemical composition and pharmacological action of Cynanchum bungei

Abstract

By accessing to the literature for nearly 20 years,this review summarized the constituents and pharmacological activities of Cynanchum bungei(Bai Shou-wu).Cynanchum bungei is a famous traditional tonic in the Oriental System of medicine,chemical constituents of which are C21 steroidal glycosides,phospholipids,acetophenones,et al.It has anti-oxidation,anti-tumor,immunity stimulation and other activities.
