Abstract

Objective To evaluate the epidemiologic features of children's simple obesity in Yangchun, and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods A multiple stage stratified cluster sampling was conducted among the students of primary schools in Yangchun, the available data were analyzed by mono-factorial and multi-factorial no conditional logistic regression. Results The prevalence rate of overweight and obesity were 5.9% and 4.0% for pupils in Yangchun, the boys' obesity rate was higher than the girls' and the difference was significant(P0.01).By multi-factorial logistic regression analysis, the results showed that the parents' obesity, speed of eating, favorites of fried food, watching televisions too long were the risk factors of the pupils' obesity. The favorites of vegetable and exercise time everyday were protective factors of the pupil's obesity. Conclusion The mostly influencing factors are the pupil's behaviors.Changing their bad behaviors can prevent and control the obesity.
