Analysis of clinical safety of left-ofloxacin hydrochloride in the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease

Abstract

Objective to investigate the clinical safety of levofloxacin hydrochloride in the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease(PID). Methods 96 cases with PID were divided into the treatment group(n=48) and the control group((n=48)) in our hospital.The treatment group was given 0.2 g levofloxacin hydrochloride injection with 100 ml physiological saline of intravenous drip while the control group was given 0.4 g of ofloxacin injection with 100 ml physiological saline of Intravenous drip.The two groups were administered 2 times ereryday,and 7 days for 1 course.After 2 courses,the curative effect and safety was evaluated. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group(93.8%) was higher than that in the control group(79.2%.)(P0.05);in the treatment group,there were 2 cases with headache and dizziness,1 case with nausea and another 1 case with abdominal discomfort,and the total incidence rate of adverse reactions was 8.3%;in the same time in the control group,there were 4 cases with headache and dizziness,and 3 cases with nousea,1 case with vomiting,3 cases with abdominal diacomfort,1 case with abnormal liver function,and the total incidence rate of adverse reactions was 16.7%.The total incidence rate of adverse reactions in the treatment group was obviously than that in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of levofloxacin hydrochloride treating PID is obvious with low incidence rate of adcerse reactions and mild symptoms,so it is worthy of promotion.
