Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between the metastasis of gastric carcinoma and the expression of E-cadherin,nm23-h1 in gastric carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemistry (S-P method) was used to detect the expression level of E-cadherin and nm23-h1 in primary tumor tissues of gastric carcinoma and normal tissues. The results were analyzed in combination with the metastasis potential and clincopathology. Results The expression level of E-cadherin and nm23-h1 in tumor tissues was lower than that in normal tissues. The expression level of E-cadherin and nm23-h1 in gastric carcinoma had a close relationship with differentiation degree and metastasis potential of tumors.Correlation analysis revealed that the expression of E-cadherin was positively related to that of nm23-h1 in tumor, normal tissues and the tissues with metastasis and invasion. Conclusion The expression levels of E-cadherin and nm23-h1 may suggest the metastasis potential and differentiation degree of gastric carcinoma. There was a positive relationship between the expression of E-cadherin and nm23-h1.Combined detection of the expression of E-cadherin and nm23-h1 in gastric carcinoma may provide a significant parameter to judge the clinical prognosis of gastric carcinoma.
