Abstract
A microwave-assisted extraction procedure was developed for gastrodin (GA) in Chinese herbal medicine Gastrodia elata Bl., using an obturated microwave-assisted extraction device. The effects of the sample particles, solvent consistence, the microwave radiation time and solid/liquid ratio on the extraction output were studied. The optimum extraction condition: sample particle was smaller than 200 mesh; ethanol consistency was 50%; the microwave radiation time was 120 seconds; solid/liquid ratio was 1∶30. Compared with Soxhlet extraction and ultrasonic extraction, microwave-assisted extraction is more efficient.
