Academic influence analysis of scientific papers of Chinese sport universities and colleges based on Web of Science

Through the software of Thomson Data Analyzer( TDA) Version 2. 1 and the web of science databases,the paper makes a comprehensive bibliometric analysis on the sport scientific paper output of sport universities and colleges in China from the aspects of published paper amount,types of majors,types of sustentation fund,author collaboration frequency,institution collaboration frequency,source documents,highly cited documents and subject distribution,etc. Results indicated that annual average number of sport universities and colleges is in rapid growth,but the scientific research quality need to be further enhanced. There has formed a stable core authors in domestic China,still lacking scientific researchers with international influence. An extensive international cooperation has been carried out,and it necessary to further strengthen international academic exchanges at home and abroad. Some interdisciplinary researches are made in sports field,and it need to improve the construction of sport dominant discipline.
