Abstract

Objective To observe the development of human embryonic trigeminal ganglion cells with fetal development.Method Embryonic trigeminal ganglion aged from 19 to 32weeks were observed by light microscopy;the cells were counted, and image analysis instrument was used to measure the area, perimeter and diameter of trigeminal ganglion cells. Results With the development of fetus, the number of trigeminal ganglion cells showed no significant changes, but they grew in diameter while the area and perimeter of cells increased significantly. Conclusion The morphology development of trigeminal ganglion cells in human embryo achieved adults′level at 7-8months(32weeks),but the number of cells showed no significant change with the development of fetus.
