Abstract
The article studied the optimum process conditions of microwave extraction from the red pigment of the medical mulberry by single factor test and orthogonal test. The extraction rate at different material-liquid ratio, alcohol concentration, microwave power and times is testified in order to determine optimum extraction condition.By comparing the extraction rate of these methods, the result shows that the chief influence factor on the pigments extraction yields is the concentration of ethanol and the material-liquid ratio. The optimal technological were as follows:material-liquid ratio was 1 ∶45,alcohol concentration was 60%,at low microwave power for 4min.Microwave extraction rate reached to 97.9% by 2 times extraction, while the result of traditional method by extracting 3 times was 94.8%.We can get conclusion that the red pigment could be got more easily by microwave extraction.
