Abstract

Objective To observe the non-ablative treatment effect on facial photoaging with combined intense pulsed light (IPL) and HGM laser. Methods Total 460 cases with facial photoaging of Fitzpatrick skin types Ⅲ and Ⅳ received the treatments for four times with combined 560?nm IPL and 532?nm HGM laser. The interval of two treatments was 2 weeks. The improvement in facial photoaging and presence of side effects were evaluated for 4~8 weeks after the final treatment. Results At the 8th week after the last treatment, of 90% of all patients with telangiectasia, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation and wrinking of facial photoaging were improvemented. The degree of the improvement was more than 75%. Common side effects were minor blistering and erythema. Conclusion Combined IPL and HGM laser treatment is an ideal non-ablative therapy for telangiectasia, enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation and wrinking of facial photoaging in Fitzpatrick skin types Ⅲ and Ⅳ of Asian.
