Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of EGFR in lung cancer and the relationship between the type of carcinoma and the lymphaden metastases. Methods The immunohistochemicl S P method was used to detect the expression of EGFR in 86 specimens of lung cancer tissues and 35 normal lung tissues. Results The immunohistochemicl S P method was used to detect the expression of EGFR in 86 specimens of lung cancer tissues and 35 normal lung tissues. Results: The expression of EGFR in lung cancer was significantly higher than that in nomal lung tissues.Compared to that of squamous carcinomas, the positive expression of EGFR wasn't significantly different. The expression of EGFR wasn't significantly different between cancer tissues with lymphaden metastases and those without lymphaden metastases. Conclusion The overexpression of EGFR is related to the occurrence and development of lung cancer , has nothing to do with lung cancer type.No significant correlations were found between EGFR overexpression and lymphaden metastases.
