Abstract

Liang Qichao'snew styleis a transitional form evolved from the ancient essay to the modern vernacular prose.This evolution,from thenew style,thenewspaper textas the main body,tovernacular Chinese,has a critical role in the process of transformation of modern Chinese literature,and also is a symbol marked the comprehensive establishment of modern style.
