Abstract
With domestic technology of coalwater slurry (CWS) combustion,the 220 t/h oilfired boilers in Maoming Cogeneration Power Plant and Shantou Wanfeng Cogeneration Power Plant in Guangdong were successfully changed into CWS fired boilers in recent two years.The performance indices of the modified boilers are satisfactory,minimal load for stable combustion being 40% of the rated load, boiler heat efficiency higher than 90%,combustion efficiency higher than 99%,investment recovery period shorter than 1 year.With clean coal as the coal ingredient,CWS is of much lower sulfur and ash content than raw coal,which makes the mass concentration of SO2 and dust emissions in the flue gas lower than local standards of Guangdong.This contributes greatly to the environmental protection in acid rain control area.It can be confirmed that the modification is of considerable economic and social benefits.
