On the Gap between Urban and Rural Income

The income gap between urban and rural areas is one of the key factors in urban and rural integration process. As one of the less developed provinces,Shanxi Province has made great development in its economy recently. Although the incomes and living standards of urban and rural residents have improved,but the income gap is widening. This article firstly introduces the status of urban and rural residents' income gap in Shanxi Province,and then analyses the causes of urban and rural residents' income gap. On the basis of analysis,this paper also proposes some strategies for the purpose of solving the problem of residents' income gap between urban and rural areas in Shanxi Province.
