Abstract

Objective To investigate the significance in the pathogenicity of coronary heart disease (CHD) by measuring the levels of serum interleukin-8(IL-8) and solube cell adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) in the patients with CHD.Methods The levels of TC, TG, HDL-C, IL-8 and sICAM-1 in 86 patients with CHD were detected by total-automatic biochemical analyzer and the method of enzyme-linked immunosobant assay (ELISA), comparing with 30 cases of health controls. Results The serum levels of TC, TG, IL-8 and sICAM-1 in the patients with CHD were higher than those in the health controls significantly (P0.01), but the serum levels of HDL-C were lower than those in the health controls significantly (P0.01);among 86 patients with CHD,the serum levels of IL-8 and sICAM-1 in the dyslipidemia group were significantly higher than those in the ortholiposis group (P0.01).Conclusion The high level of IL-8,sICAM-1, TC and TG, and the low level of HDL-C may play important roles in leading to the pathogenesis of CHD, and there is interactive correlation among these changes.
