Research of matter-element model about land-use suitability evaluation

Matter-element analysis method and the theory and methods of extenics are used in the study to evaluate the agricultural land suitability comprehensively in combination with geographic Information system.Taking the suitability grade of land use,assessment indicators and their characteristic values as matter elements,this paper establishes a matter-element analysis model for agricultural land suitability assessment in Daliu town,which located in the southwest of Langfang city in Hebei province.The study results show that the matter-element analysis model can overcome the impact of human factors in the process of land use suitability evaluation to improve the assessment accuracy and operability.This model is proved to be rational,simple and practicable.Matter-element analysis method offers an objective scientific method for optimal evaluation and rational utilization of land resource.
