Abstract
The methods of land suitability evaluation for multi-objective and application to land use planning have been studied in this paper.Taking Laohekou City in Hubei Province as a case, cultivated land integrative-suitability evaluation and development potential suitability evaluation are carried out, by using the method of GIS.The research results that be supported by spatial analysis showed that about 30% land in study area has obviously spatial overlap characteristic on high cultivated suitability and development potential suitability. This phenomena reflected contradiction in region land use. These results were used to provide information support for land use planning. The research could enhance practicability of suitability evaluation.
