Abstract
On the basis of the Morison equation, using the additional mass method of water to consider the effects of hydrodynamic pressure on the bridge pier,taking the single-column pier as the research project,with the help of the ABAQUS finite element software,the authors established the seismic response analysis model of the soil-column pier considering the pile-soil dynamic interaction,and the dynamic nonlinear characteristics of soils and concrete.They analyzed the effect of hydrodynamic pressure on the relative displacement,acceleration,shear force,moment of the single-column pier under earthquake ground motion,and discussed the effect of water level on the earthquake response characteristics of single-column pier.The results show that the hydrodynamic pressure effect changes the seismic responses characters of the pier and increases the relative displacement and acceleration of pier top and also increases the internal force of pier bottom.It is necessary to consider the hydrodynamic pressure effect in the seismic design of pier.
