Abstract
The working conditions and the failure characteristics of the valve precision forging die were analyzed,and the new hot working die steel's experimental performance,technology for heating processing and application in the valve precision forging die were also discussed.The results show that the oxidation-resistance and heat stability of RJD steel are better than those of H13 and 8407 steel with hardness of about 53HRC after quenching at 1120 ℃ and tempering at 620 ℃.The performance of RJD steel meets the requirement of the valve precision forging die's working condition.The productive application shows that RJD steel has more outstanding strength and toughness behaviors and its service life is significantly longer than 3Cr2W8V and 4Cr5MoSiV1,which can sufficiently meet the requirement of the valve precision forging die.
