Discussion on methods of establishing metadata management system in data warehouse

Abstract

Metadata management is a key factor of the data warehouse item success or failure,having a metadata is equal to owning a blue print of the data warehouse.This paper analyzes the definition,function and meanings of metadata,then discusses the situation of metadata management in data warehouse system,puts forward a method of establishing metadata management system.
