Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical features of carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) patients.Methods EMG examination of the median nerve,ular nerve,nerve conduction velocity,extensor pollicis brevis and abductor pollcis longus of 60 cases of CTS patients were examined.Results Among 60 cases of CTS patients,the lesions of 18 cases were bilateral,42 patients were unilateral.There were all 78 lesions.The latency of 78 median nerves sensory conduction prolonged and the sensory conduction velocity decreased.Sixty sensory nerves evoked amplitude was reduced.The distal motor latency(DML) of 74 median nerves prolonged.The DML and the evoked amplitude of 4 median nerves were normal.The neurogenic injury was shown in 58 extensor pollicis brevis controlled by the median nerve.Conclusion Clinical features examination has great value in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of CTS.
