Study on Urogenital Mycoplasma Infection and Their Antibiotic Susceptibility

Objective To investigate Urogenital Mycoplasma infection and drug sensitivity in Qi Dong from Janary 2001 to December 2007.Methods Mycoplasma were cultivated and their antibiotic susceptibility was detected with Mycoplasma LIV ZON Reagent Box. Results 824 cases were positive mycoplasma among 2006 cases,accounting for 41.1% of the total.Among 824 clinical isolates,703 cases were Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) positive(85.3%),higher than complicated Uu and Mh infection(93cases,11.3%) or Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) infection(28cases,3.4%).The result of drug sensitivity test showed that Uu Mh and Uu+Mh isolated from both sexs had different drug resistance.The most sensitive and stable antibiotics were josamycin(the rate of sensitivity 89.4%) and minocyline(the rate of sensitivity 86.3%),the next was doxycyline(the rate of sensitivity 83.7%).The lowest rate of sensitivity was to roxthromycin(the rate of sensitivity 22.3%).It seemed to have an increasing resistance trend for roxthromycin,ofloxacin,levofloxacin,sparfloxacin. Conclusions Urogenital Mycoplasma infection shows principally as Ureaplsmalyticum,josamycin may be selected as the first drug to treat mycoplasma infection.
