Abstract

Objective Value of diagnosticing multiple myeloma by means of detecting serum protein electrophoresis, total protein,Protein electrophoresis and light chain, immunofixation electrophoresis is researched. Methods 42 hospitalized patients which are diagnosticed multiple myeloma are detected aboat serum protein electrophoresis, total protein,Protein electrophoresis and light chain, immunofixation electrophoresis and urine light chain κ、λ,then the test result is statisted and analysised. Results In 89 patients,38 cases were tested the content of serum total protein elevated,55 cases were tested immunoglobulin and quantitative light chain significantly increased,56 cases for serum protein electrophoresis test are M,89 cases for Immunofixation electrophoresis test are positive. Conclusion Detecting immunofixation electrophoresis for diagnosticing multiple myeloma is a sensitive method, and it is used to diagnost Multiple myeloma.
