Abstract

Objective To explore the expression rule of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in colorectal carcinoma. Methods The expression of VEGF in 62 colorectal carcinoma and 62 normal colorectal mucosa were measured with VEGF-antibody by immunohistochemistry S-P.Results The expression of VEGF in colorectal carcinoma was significantly higher than that in normal mucosa( P 0.05); the VEGF expression in carcinoma with lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis was higher than that in corresponding non- metastasis( P 0.05 and P 0.01); VEGF expression in Dukes C colorectal carcinoma also higher than that in Dukes A、B.Conclusion There was a high-level expression in colorectal carcinoma, VEGF positively correlated with the growth and metastasis of colorectal carcinoma.
