Abstract
Octadecyl acrylate monomer is synthesized by direct esterification, and its optimum synthetic conditions are studied by orthogonal design and error analysis. Then the copolymer of octadecyl acrylate with maleric anhydride is obtained by solution free radical copolymerization and it is a pour depressant. The ratio of monomers, the quantity of initiator, reaction temperature and reaction time are decided to obtain the copolymer with highest point depressing capacity. The results of experiments show that when the mole ratio of monomers is 4:1, mass fraction of BPO is 0.9%, reaction temperature is 85℃, reaction time is 10 h, the copolymer obtained has optimum result of pour point depressing. The pour point of the waxy crude oil of Zhongyuan Oilfield is reduced by 13℃ when the copolymer of 0.1% is added.
