The investigation of psychological and body condition and nursing strategy of gastric cancer

Abstract
Objective To analyze the psychological and body condition of gastric cancer patients and explore the effective nursing measures.Methods From April 2011 to October 2012 in our hospital,92 patients with gastric cancer were selected as the subjects of research,the psychological condition of them were evaluated by self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and self-rating depression scale(SDS),the body condition of them were evaluated by Karnofsky performance status standard(KPS),physical condition standards(PS),they were divided into two groups according to the nursing program,42 cases with the conventional tumor nursing as the control group,50 cases with comprehensive nursing intervention as the observation group,the scores of psychological and body condition of two groups before and after nursing were compared. Results All patients had a certain psychological and body obstacles,the SAS,SDS,KPS,PS scores of two groups before nursing were compared,the difference was not statistically significant between two groups(P 0.05);but the SAS,SDS,KPS,PS scores of two groups after nursing were compared,the observation group were significantly better than the control group,the differences were statistically significant between two groups(P 0.05);the quality of life(QOL) score of two groups before nursing were compared, the difference was not statistically significant(P 0.05);but the QOL score of observation group was significantly better than the control group after nursing(P 0.05).Conclusions There are certain psychological and body obstacles in patients with gastric cancer,targeted nursing intervention can significantly improve their psychological and body condition,and improve the quality of life.
