Abstract
Objective To establish a method for the determination of total mercury in chemical bulk drugs by choosing lamivudine as the research object. Methods Mercury was determined by cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry, using microwave digestion for sample pretreatment. The detection wavelength was 253.7 nm.Results The absorbance and the concentration showed a good linear relationship in the 3.75-18 ng·mL-1 concentration range, and the correlation coefficient was 0.999 6.The recovery of mercury was 96.9%,and the limit of detection was 0.02 μg·g-1.Conclusion The method is specific, sensitive, accurate and rapid, and turns out a universal method for the determination of total mercury in chemical bulk drugs.Simultaneously it could be served as a basis for the drug quality control.
