Abstract

Objective To investigate value of serum Cystatin C(CysC) detection in evaluation renal function in patients with SLE.MethodsThe level of CysC and β2-Microglobul(β-MG) in 78 patients with SLE and 67 healthy controls were measured by particle-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay(PETIA),while the level of serum creatinine(SCr) and urea nitrogen(BUN) by were measured the enzyme method.ResultsCompared with the control group, the CysC,BUN,SCr and β-MG in the SLE group whose GFR80 ml/(min·1.73 m2)showed no significant difference, the level of CysC increased in cases whose GFR at 40~80 ml/(min·1.73 m2)P0.01),the level of CysC,BUN,SCr and β-MG in cases whose GFR40 ml/(min·1.73 m2)increased(P0.001,0.01).ConclusionCysC can reflect the glomerular filtration rate.It is more sensitive than BUN,SCr and β2-MG,maybe used as early diagnosis index of renal impairment in SLE.
