Abstract

To provide theoretical foundation for the breeding of excellent meat sheep variety growth and slaughter performance and meat quality traits of three different hybridized combination fattening lambs were investigated. The F1 generations of DH(n=14),NB(n=18) and HB sheep(n=12) were selected as experiment animals. After they were fed under the same raising condition for nine months, part of them were slaughtered to compare slaughter performance and meat quality. The results showed as follows: 1) The average daily gain(ADG) of DH F1 was 252.81 g/d,which is greatly significantly higher than that of HB F1(P0.01)and significantly higher than that of NB F1(P0.05),ADG of NB F1 was significant higher than that of HB F1(P0.05);2) Dressing percentage and net meat percentage between DH F1 and HB F1 was greatly significant difference(P0.01),that of between NB F1 and HB F1 was significant difference(P0.05),but NB F1 and HB F1 had no difference(P0.05);3)Marbling score of NB F1 sheep was greatly significantly higher than that of DH F1 and HB F1(P0.01).Cooking meat percentage of NB F1 sheep was significantly higher than that of HB F1(P0.05).Hybrid combination of Dorper sheep × Small-tail Han sheep in growth and slaughter performance was obvious.
