Abstract

Sound compound words are very common in North Henan dialect,which are frequently used with strong local color and plays a special role in oral communication.The form and use of sound compound words are in conformity with the economy principle of languages.Though affected by the promotion of standard Chinese,sound compound words are still very vital in use within a certain range.
