Abstract

The regional torrential rain process on Jul.8th to 9th in 2009 in Shandong Province was analyzed comprehensively by using conventional weather chart, satellite image, data observed by regional automatic weather station,CINRAD data etc.The results showed:vorticity in the lower atmosphere in our province a strong convergence zone and the vertical velocity increased by district, northwest vortex eastward during the shear line was generated, ground inverted trough extended to Shandong, providing the impetus for the formation of storm conditions;jetstream coupling enhanced the development of convection;low-level jet was the main water vapor transport channel, which could provide a water vapor for torrential rain formation. The water was mainly from the South China Sea and The Bay of Bengal.
