Abstract
OBJECTIVE To isolate and elucidate the constituents from Cassia leschenaultiana DC..METHODS Chromatographic technology and recrystallization were used to separate and purify the constituents.Their structures were identified with the physico-chemical properties and spectral data.RESULTS Seven compounds were isolated from Cassia leschenaultiana DC.and identified as chrysophanol(Ⅰ),physcion(Ⅱ),emodin(Ⅲ),β-sitosterol(Ⅳ),n-heptacosanol(Ⅴ),stigmasterol(Ⅵ),and inositol(Ⅶ).CONCLUSION All of the compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
