Abstract
[Objective] To investigate effective method of Pneumatic ballistic lithotripsy for benign prostatic hyperplasia with bladder calculi. [Methods] A ureteroscope or nephrosope was inserted into the bladder via out sheath of resectoscope. Then pneumatic ballistic lithotripsy was performed under endoscope to fragment and remove stone. [Results] Stones were removed from the bladderon one session in 16 cases. No major haemorrhage, perforation, water intoxication happened interopertion or postopration. Follow up for 6 months in the 16 cases showed no recurrence of caluli and urethral stricture. [Conclusion] Pneumatic ballistic lithotripsy via out sheath of resectoscope is effective and safe in the treatment of bladder calculi.
