Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship btween sperm DNA fragmentation and early spontaneous abortion. Methods:Prospective case-control study was ued.Sperm DNA fragmentation rates were compared between the males whose wives undergoing early spontaneous abortion and the infertile males whose wives not undergoing abortion. Results:The research group was 37 cases. The control group was 43 cases. No significant difference was found between the above tow groups on sperm DNA fragmentation rate.Positive correlation was found between male age and sperm DNA fragmentation rate.No correlation was found between male age and spontaneous abortion. Conclusions:No clear correlation was found between sperm DNA fragmentation rate and early spontaneous abortion.
