Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To study pharmacokinetics of baicalin in Ganke shuangqing capsule in Chinese healthy volunteers.METHODS: A total of 8 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study in which the subjects were received single dose of 1.8 g Ganke shuangqing capsule.The plasma concentrations of baicalin were determined by HPLC and the pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated with DAS software.RESULTS: The main pharmacokinetic parameters of baicalin were as follows:t1/2z:(3.304±0.614) h;tmax:(8.0±0.0) h;Cmax:(2.214±0.363) mg·L-1;AUC(0-24):(18.914±4.064) mg·h·L-1;AUC(0-∞):(19.291±4.110) mg·h·L-1.The pharmacokinetic process was in line with two-compartment model.CONCLUSION: The absorption and elimination of baicalin are slow and it takes a long time to reach tmax.
